Chiropractor

Todd Ruland D.C.

West Fort Worth & Weatherford

Personal Philosophy: "True health can be attained only by restoring normal function to the body. Three interrelated parts of the body, physical, mental and chemical must be functioning normally for complete health."

Dr. Ruland's dedication to this philosophy is evident in his seven years as a private practitioner at our North Fort Worth location as well as

time spent teaching at Parker College of Chiropractic. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Texas Chiropractic Association, and the Council on Sport Injuries.

"It is impossible for one person to keep up on all the discoveries made in chiropractic medicine. That's why professional memberships are so important. When I meet other doctors, we can share information on the latest procedures and materials. The more I know, the better I can serve my patients."

Dr. Ruland is concerned about the community and is involved in local schools' academics and sports programs. His concern also shows in his membership in the Northeast Chamber of Commerce and various awards from the International Jaycees.

Chiropractor West Fort Worth TX Luis Garcia

chiropractor

Luis Garcia D.C.

West Fort Worth

Personal Philosophy: “I believe that the power that made the body heals the body.  Our bodies have an innate intelligence that takes care of our body and keeps us in balance.  When we take good care of our bodies, we are able to function optimally and recover quickly from illness and disease...

... To help our bodies function as they are supposed to, we can follow five pillars of health: sleep, nutrition, exercise, relaxation, and relationships.  All of these are essential for great health.  Chiropractic embodies these five pillars and adds to them by keeping our nervous and musculoskeletal systems working correctly and efficiently.”

Dr. Garcia’s chiropractic journey started early in his life…

“During my childhood I was always involved in sports and recreational activities.  As I grew up, and put more effort into those, it led to some injuries.  Chiropractic helped me recover from those injuries throughout the years and I have been forever grateful for what it has done for me.”

Going to chiropractic school:

“I grew up in a household where my mother was a healthcare professional, being a pharmacist, and my father worked as a representative for a pharmaceutical company.  Growing up in that environment, I was taught the importance of taking care of myself and staying healthy.  When I graduated high school, I was not sure about what career to choose, but I always enjoyed the sciences, so I decided to study biology.  As I began the last year of my bachelor’s degree, I was still unsure of what I would do afterwards.  That last year of my bachelor’s degree I also met my wife at school.  She talked to me about studying chiropractic, and I remembered all that it had done for me, and I wondered why I had never thought about it.  After that, we went to chiropractic school together and I never looked back.  Ever since our first year studying chiropractic, it felt like it was meant to be.”

Dr. Garcia loves chiropractic and the opportunities that it gives him to teach his patients how to live healthier lives in which their bodies can perform optimally during every phase that life has to offer.  Dr. Garcia is also a very socially oriented person, and he enjoys spending time with his wife and friends during the weekends.  He also likes to relax and sit back to watch movies with his wife on occasion.

Dr. Garcia is skilled in several techniques including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, extremity adjusting, Flexion-Distraction, and Trigger Point Therapy.  These multiple techniques allow for the most effective treatment of many conditions including:

  • Pain in the extremities
  • Auto Injuries

  • Work Injuries
  • Scoliosis
  • TMJ

Dr. Garcia attended the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences in 2015.  He later obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, in Marietta, Georgia in 2020.  Dr. Garcia practiced chiropractic for 3 years in Georgia and later moved with his wife to Dallas-Fort Worth in 2023.  Since then, he has been taking care of patients from the neighboring communities.  Dr. Garcia understands the importance of chiropractic care for everyone and wants to make it as accessible as possible. Katie Gerber D.C.

West Fort Worth

Personal Philosophy: “We are our own best medicine. Your body has the wonderful ability to heal itself. All functions of the body are controlled by the nervous system, when we remove stress from the nervous system, we flourish and remain well. The better we take care of ourselves the better our bodies can thrive.

Spinal health is instrumental to thriving as our spine is the home for all of our nerves. Chiropractic allows us to stay moving, healthy and constantly growing.”

Dr. Katie’s chiropractic journey started in high school…
“After years of gymnastics and cheerleading, my shoulder and low back caused me to miss a lot of sleep. When I started seeing my chiropractor in high school, I discovered the many benefits of chiropractic that extended beyond pain relief. As I started talking to other people about my experiences, I realized there were many people who needed the same care.”

When Dr. Katie was in chiropractic school, she was able to see the benefits first hand when she was in a car accident that left her with a broken back, leg, and herniated discs.

“My chiropractor helped me starting immediately after my accident, and long after my brace was off. I already knew I was excited to graduate and start helping people get well, but it was at this time that I became passionate about how strong our bodies are when we care for them properly. Since healing from the accident, I have enjoyed sharing the benefits of chiropractic with people, and allowing them to become healthier and more adaptable. ”

Dr. Katie loves to learn more about chiropractic and wellness and attends seminars in order to further her education. She also enjoys teaching kids and new moms about health and preventative care.
